Trivia
- "Daughter of Darkness" is a story written by Melia (co-authored with Melkor and Nienna). It was written in the early 2000s in English (the original text was lost in the depths of the Internet), inspired by a dispute on an English-language site about inaccuracies in The Silmarillion. The story was created:
- There are two legends regarding the appearance of Melkoel:
- The first says that Melkor himself created his child from the elements under his control.
- The second tells about the love of Melkor and the sea nymph, who later bore him a daughter.
- Melkoel spent her entire life in Angband, fighting on the side of Darkness, and after her father was imprisoned in Chaos, joined him, only occasionally descending into the world to see what was happening.
- Given that Melkoel is half-Valar, she does not have a specific bodily shell. Melkoel's appearance depends on her mood. The only thing that remains unchanged is the earring with a black feather in her right ear. Melkoel takes two forms:
- A girl of about 25, with red curly hair and green eyes with lightning in the pupil.
- A little blond girl, in a shabby light dress and with a plush toy in her hands.
- Unusual abilities of Melkoel:
- She is subject to the elements of fire and water.
- She can move between worlds she has already been to.
- Can materialize weapons she sees.
- Phoenix is her guardian bird.

Story
Fragment from the story "Daughter of Darkness":
When Melia opened her eyes, she saw the sky. White clouds floated slowly across the blue surface, driven by the north wind. But suddenly the lambs blurred, blurred in circles and wavered. Melia shook her head and felt the space around her filled with her own red curls, slowly floating out from behind her back. She tried to touch them with her hand, but the movements were slow and difficult. The world around her was dense and oppressive from the outside, but it was easy and free to breathe. She took an effortless breath and opened her mouth to ask something, but only white bubbles of air came out of her lips. They rose to the blue sky and blurred it again. Melia pushed herself away from the environment she was in with her hands and reached out to the place where the sky had blurred. But she did not touch it - the hand overcame the shift line, like a portal between worlds, and passed on. Melia surfaced and looked around. She was in the center of a small lake with sandy shores, surrounded on the sides by dense forest and a blue sky above. She looked up again. In this world, the sky no longer moved or blurred, the clouds were crisp and clear. The feeling of stiffness and pressure disappeared, but a new feeling appeared - cold. The wind ruffled wet hair and bit bare shoulders that were above the water. Melia rested her hands on the surface of the lake, pulled herself up, threw up her knees and finally stood up to her full height on the surface of the water.
- I gave birth to your daughter. Look, she’s beautiful, - whispered the water.
Melkor did not answer anything. He admired the creation of the elements and his own.
